A Home inspection is a limited, non-invasive evaluation of the condition of a home, usually associated with the purchase of a home or at the request of an insurance company. The home inspection report describes the condition of the home at the time of inspection. The report does not guarantee future condition, efficiency, or life expectancy of the home's systems or components. Home inspections in Florida can be perfomed by an engineer, licensed contractor or home inspector who has the training and certifications to perform such an inspection. A written report of the findings is delivered to the client, and may contain defect remediation recommendations. The client can then uses the report to address the defects, make decisions, negotiate home price, or secure homeowner's insurance.
